Typically, the first signs of aging often appear in the forehead area, around the eyes and on the cheeks. There is no reason for a "major" facelift, but the tired facial expression and the increasing loss of skin tension bother patients. Which type of procedure makes the most sense can only be determined in a personal consultation. For example, if the forehead is predominantly sagging, simply tightening the skin is sufficient, which can also be done endoscopically, i.e. via tiny incisions in the hairy scalp. Using special optical instruments, the sagging skin is tightened while protecting the muscles, nerves and blood vessels.

Should only the temples If the forehead or eyebrows are to be lifted, a so-called temporal lift can be performed. The incision is made in the hairy side of the scalp, leaving scars of only 2.5 to 3 cm in length, which are almost invisible in the hair.

In cases of more pronounced findings with severely drooping eyebrows, a complete, open forehead lift with an incision and resulting delicate scar directly at the hairline is recommended.
