RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY

While many people in the past had to live with the fact that individual body parts were deformed due to accidents, illnesses or even congenital malformations, plastic and reconstructive surgery can now often restore form and function.

Special surgical techniques are available for this purpose, which allow us to, for example, stretch, move or transplant tissue – including skin, muscles, tendons and vessels.

Thanks to surgical art, the plastic reconstruction of lost tissue and the reconstruction of nerve and tissue structures are often possible and enable patients to return to a largely “normal” life.
