LIPOSUCTION

Liposuction is not a suitable treatment for obesity - rather, it serves to finely model the body silhouette. Even a small procedure can help you to achieve a noticeably slimmer overall appearance.

Both women and men often suffer from particularly stubborn, sometimes genetically determined fat deposits. These cannot be combated with diets or targeted exercises. In women, these fat deposits are usually found in the hips, buttocks and thighs. In men, they are usually found on the stomach and in the chest area.

advice and goal setting

Clearly defined fat deposits on an otherwise slim body are particularly easy to locate and surgically remove. The best results are achieved when combined with firm skin.

The procedure

Smaller areas are treated under local anesthesia (so-called tumescent anesthesia). For larger areas or multiple body parts, general anesthesia is also possible. Depending on the region, the operation lasts between one and four hours.

After removal of fat deposits

After minor procedures, you can return home on the same day; for major procedures, we recommend a one-day hospital stay. You will be able to work and socialize after about three to four days.

What are the risks of liposuction?

Liposuction is a very low-risk operation. However, as with any surgical procedure, wound healing problems and other side effects can occur. As responsible and experienced doctors, we will of course explain this to you in the preliminary consultation and can react quickly and specifically to complications.

The procedure
Smaller areas are treated under local anesthesia (so-called tumescent anesthesia). For larger areas or multiple body parts, general anesthesia is also possible. Depending on the region, the operation lasts between one and four hours.

First, the surgeon infiltrates a special liposuction solution to soften the fatty tissue.

This consists of a saline solution, a painkiller and a blood vessel constrictor. This causes the tissue to swell up, allowing the special, fine suction cannulas to be used very gently. Blood vessels and nerves are protected. Using this solution can also significantly reduce larger bruises. However, small "bruises" cannot be completely avoided.
